Ricardo Graham-Ward

Ricardo Graham-Ward

CEng MICE, PMP

Lead Civil/Structural Engineer

Ricardo is a civil/structural engineer; registered as a Chartered Engineer in the UK and Professional Engineer in Bermuda. He is also a certified Project Management Professional and NACE certified Coating Inspector. Prior to joining iEPC, Ricardo worked for over 6 years as a project manager and structural engineer with leading consultancies and government agencies in Bermuda, Canada and the UK to successfully deliver the infrastructure for major bridges, buildings and national sporting events from conception to completion.

Ricardo is also the Bermuda Representative for the Institution of Civil Engineers and takes pride in developing the next generation of engineering professionals.

 Jamar Dill

Electrical Engineer

Jamar is an Electrical Engineer with over 20 years of experience within the electrical power industry. He joined iEPC in August 2021 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience with a multitude of qualifications, which includes an HNC in Electronics, a Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Electrical Power Engineering, and a Master of Science Degree in Maintenance Management.

Jamar is a Chartered engineer (CEng) in the UK where he is also a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET). He is a Professional Engineer (PEng) with Professional Engineers of Ontario and is registered with Professional Engineers Registration Council as a Professional Engineer in Bermuda.

Jamar began his career as an apprentice Electrician after graduating from Cedar Bridge Academy and continued to progress through the years as an Electrician, Electrical Fitter, Engineer-in-training to his present role. Prior to joining iEPC, Jamar was employed at the Ministry of Public Works as an Electrical Engineer and was the designer of The Molecular Diagnostic Lab. He also has overseas experience particularly in Ontario Canada where he was part of various complex projects including Toronto Pearson Airport Baggage 2025 and CIBC Square. His experience includes Electrical Design, Maintenance Management, Energy Audits, Arc-Flash Analysis, Renewable Energy, Project Management, Site Administration and Fire Alarm Systems.

Zeeko joined iEPC in June of 2022 as a mechanical engineer with experience in HVAC, plumbing and manufacturing. He is a Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience within the industry. He is a licensed Professional Engineer by Professional Engineers of Ontario, Canada and a registered Professional Engineer in Bermuda by the Professional Engineers Registration Council.

Structural Engineer

Richard is a structural engineer with over 15 years’ experience. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK with the Institution of Structural Engineer’s. Richard has extensive experience in the design and delivery of projects across a wide range of sectors including transport, infrastructure, education, mixed use residential, conservation/refurbishment and commercial buildings. Prior to joining iEPC Richard worked at a UK based consultancy, where he led a team of engineers, bringing a strategic focus and quality assurance to all his projects.

Richard is an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who takes pride in producing high quality work, whilst understanding the importance of working within the budget and time constraints. He possesses excellent interpersonal skills, which enables him to communicate effectively with colleagues, members of the design team, contractors and clients.

Mechanical Engineer

Devin is a mechanical engineer and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of New York, USA. Prior to joining iEPC Limited in 2019, he worked for over 6 years as a project manager and lead mechanical engineer at a premier engineering consulting firm in New York City. During that time, he developed a passion for the design of airside and water-side mechanical systems, with the goal of increasing system reliability, enhancing indoor air quality, and improving building energy performance. He prides himself on his innovative and detail-oriented approach to his designs and brings effective communication and a proactive mindset to each project. 

His extensive experience includes the design of air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, condenser water systems, variable refrigerant volume systems, power generation systems, variable air volume systems, building management systems, and critical room air-conditioning systems. He has worked as the lead mechanical engineer and project manager for millions of square feet of high-end commercial office space in the technology, insurance, finance, broadcasting, medical, and law industries. His experience also encompasses specialty areas such as full-floor conference centres, trading floors, gymnasiums, locker rooms, yoga studios, and cooking kitchens.

In Bermuda, Devin has provided engineering services for BELCO, the Corporation of Hamilton, the Ministry of Public Works, Butterfield Bank, Fairmont Southampton, and SOL Group.

Project Manager

Vince is a Project Manager with iEPC Limited and has been in the MEP system design, installation and management space for over 25 years. Having worked on many of the major projects in Bermuda, Vince has experience as a system designer, detailing the drawing design and equipment selection process, and managing installations from project start-up to completion. He is also experienced in coordinating with contractors to ensure proper installation practices are being followed, which ultimately ensures the owners are getting the best MEP system possible.

Jarreau is an electrical Engineer-in-Training with iEPC Limited, and is responsible for project coordination, administration work, AutoCAD drafting support and assistance in site visits and field inspections.

Professional Relationships

Bermuda Government

iEPC has a strong working relationship with the Bermuda Government Ministry of Public Works, Department of Works and Engineering, which it has developed over the last 3 years of contract work. Our strong relationships with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Environmental Authority are key to environmental permitting for project work. Recently, we have developed productive relationships with the Department of Planning and the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, both of whom are integral to obtaining permits for projects.

Local NGO’s

iEPC has experience engaging with local non-governmental organizations who can have significant influence on the success of projects in Bermuda. These include organizations such as BEST, Greenrock, Bermuda National Trust, Bermuda Zoological Society.

Local Engineers & Construction Firms
iEPC has worked on projects with numerous local engineering and construction firms. and extensive knowledge and experience with the local environment. Our extensive knowledge of and experience with the local environment allows us to understand the capacity and experience of these firms, so we can select the most appropriate partners for projects.
Overseas Engineering Firms

When expertise cannot be sourced in-house or on-island, iEPC works on projects with several overseas engineering firms. We have developed excellent working relationships with firms such as Stantec, Dillon, TRC-Repower, and R.J. Bartlett.  The diverse background and licensing of our engineers provides us with contacts in multiple jurisdictions.

Current Projects

Bermuda Government Structural Engineering Support Services

iEPC was successful in renewing its contract with the Ministry of Public Works, which was awarded in 2022. The focus of the current work is the detailed design and procuring the financing for the replacement of Swing Bridge and Longbird Bridge. Once the Ministry obtains financing, iEPC will be project managing the procurement and execution of the project.

BELCO Campus Renovation

iEPC is responsible for the renovation of all employee-occupied spaces on the BELCO campus, overseeing the design, tendering and contracting, and project management. The multi-year project involves many stakeholders and will improve building efficiencies and work environments for nearly 300 employees. 

BELCO Retired Asset Removal and Site Remediation

Numerous generating assets at BELCO’s Pembroke Power Station have reached the end of their useful life and will be retired in late 2020. iEPC is responsible for project management of the removal, demolition and disposal of the retired assets, associated buildings, electrical services and structures. This project includes the remediation of soil contamination.

Commercial Electrical and Mechanical Services

iEPC is currently developing its commercial electrical and mechanical service offerings, with focus on low voltage distribution and switchboard replacement, energy audits, indoor air quality, and HVAC design and assessment.

St. George's Swing Bridge Assessment

iEPC is responsible for delivering a detailed structural inspection and dimensional survey of the St. George’s swing bridge superstructure to the Ministry of Public Works. A thorough inspection and survey of the condition of all structural elements of the bridge, including the superstructure (portion of bridge above bridge bearings) and the substructure (portion of bridge below the bridge bearings) will be conducted.

Past Projects

King’s Wharf Cruise Ship Terminal Refurbishment

iEPC successfully managed the King’s Wharf Cruise Ship Terminal Refurbishment project during the off-season between November 2018 to April 2019. iEPC’s role included the initial condition survey, preliminary design, specification of materials, tendering and procurement, management of project execution and project closeout.

Integrated Resource Plan 2019

iEPC provided subject matter expertise and project management support for the development of the first Integrated Resource Plan in conjunction with BELCO and their lead consultant Leidos.  iEPC provided technical input and support with regards to power generation, power transmission, renewables, alternative fuels and energy efficiency.

LNG Feasibility Study

iEPC led a feasibility study for Ascendant Group for the importation, storage and regassification of LNG for power generation in Bermuda in conjunction with consultants Leidos and CH-IV. This study included identification of the import terminal, review of exclusion zones, preliminary design of storage, pipeline and power generation options.

6MW Solar Farm RFP Response

iEPC led Ascendant Group’s response to the Bermuda Government’s RFP for a 6MW solar farm to be located adjacent to the Bermuda International Airport. Ascendant Group partnered with an overseas entity for this response. Given Ascendant Group owns BELCO, a strict firewall agreement was drafted and adhered to, in order to ensure that no BELCO inside information would be available to the bid-team that would give Ascendant an advantage in the RFP process.

America’s Cup 35 – Temporary Generation

iEPC led the installation of 5MW of temporary diesel generation at the Dockyard venue to support the BELCO transmission grid, ensuring a secure and reliable supply for the AC-35 event. On BELCO’s behalf, iEPC oversaw the planning, permitting, procurement and implementation of these generators. iEPC also represented BELCO’s interest on the ACBDA Infrastructure Committee in the lead-up to the event.

Distributed Renewables Pilot

iEPC led a distributed renewables pilot project for BELCO, deploying 14 hybrid solar photovoltaic/solar thermal systems with monitoring capability, to evaluate the technology as a potential for a utility-scale distributed renewable program. 

Bermuda Gas – Permitting for ISO Container Storage Facility

iEPC led the preliminary design and obtained planning permission for Bermuda Gas to store 24 ISO Containers of LPG for daily transfer of propane to their tanker trucks. This was an alternate primary supply option for Bermuda Gas. This project involved consultation with overseas engineers specializing in propane and fire protection, consultations with Department of Planning, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, Bermuda Government Health and Safety, NGOs and neighbours.

North Power Station

iEPC provided both engineering and project management support to the BELCO North Power Station project. iEPC provided the lead civil and environmental engineering resources for the project, and also led the environmental and building control permitting for the 56MW diesel power station.
